CHARACTERISTICS

Starting from the desire to promote the green banks of the Danube and make known the cultural and natural heritage of the northern and southern areas of the Danube, AISSER Association wants to capitalize on this opportunity by proposing new tourist packages, accessible and ecological, consisting of cycling tours in the Romanian-Bulgarian cross-border region.

This outdoor sports activity has experienced perhaps the greatest boom in recent years, but most of the time cycling is concentrated in mountainous areas and less in the plains, hills and meadows, along the Danube. `Danube on 2 Wheels` project aims to offer a more affordable alternative both financially and logistically, Danube being closer to the main urban centres than the mountainous regions.

Through this tourist package we aim to promote green tourism, by exploring, pedalling, some cycling routes identified in the Romania - Bulgaria border area, in the heart of nature, on less known paths, which hide an amazing natural wealth, enriched more and more from year to year, to offer us a unique and so diverse spectacle through the deltaic flora and fauna existing along the Danube.
