The route is Dobrici – Riltsi – Malka Smolnita – Smolnita – Kozlodui – Rosenovo – Ezibei – Paskalevo – Dobrici

It’s a easy 1-day course for beginners, families with children and disabled people.

The route leaves Dobrici on Dobrudzha Boulevard and leaves Dobrici on the national road 71 near Riltsi. We go on the national road to the west towards the village of Malka Smolnita, which between 1913 and 1940 was an integral part of the Ezibei net of Caliacra County in Romania and the form of Ceamurlia commune together with Ceamurlia de Midi. From here we leave the national road and we head north towards the village of Smolnita, which has a history identical to that of the neighboring village and all the villages in this region.

Our route turns a little eastward and goes up to Kozloduiti village. From here we start going north to reach the village of Rosenovo, the middle point of the route. Here we can rest short before we start heading south to Dobrici. From Roseanovo we take the road 293 to the village of Paskalevo. From Paskalevo we go on road 293 to the intersection with the national road 97 that takes us back to Dobrici.

The „Dobrichi” outdoor ethnographic museum is located in the center of modern Dobrici, on the foundation of the former Odun bazaar.

It is part of the Dobrici Regional History Museum. Here are the Dobrogene crafts from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

The Church of the Holy Trinity is the main Orthodox Church in Dobrici. It was built between 1905-1911 with voluntary contributions of local residents and was officially opened and sanctified by Diocese bishop Bishop Simeon together with Metropolitan Theodosius of Skopje, who was on a special visit to the city for the event.

The church is an impressive and beautiful building with a courtyard where there is a small but well-kept park. Here are trees, flowers, alleys and banks. The beautiful columns of stone, the chapels and the Holy Throne of the church are the works of a mason master in Varna – Hristo Leonidiev.

The church also has a Sunday school, a parochial library and a dining room with free food for the needy.

The Jordan Yovkov Literature Museum in the city of Dobrici is located in the city center, next to the city park. It was opened in 1980 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the famous Bulgarian writer.

The museum hosts more than 10,000 exhibits related to the life and work of Jordan Yovkov. Many photographs and documents are exhibited, his writing machine he used to create most of his stories, clothes and personal items, papers and translations in different languages.

The Jordan Yovkov Museum is included in the list of 100 tourist sites in Bulgaria.

The Regional History Museum in Dobrici was established in 1953. The first museum exhibition was organized in 1960 in the former casino building.

The museum collects, studies, preserves and presents the cultural-historical and natural heritage of Dobrogea and the Dobrici district.

The departments of the museum are: Archeology; Renaissance; Ethnography; Modern History; Literature and Art; The nature.

More than 180,000 exhibits are kept in museum reserves, including:

– one of the richest collections of prehistoric discoveries in the country and the Balkans, in the archaeological complex near Durankulak (5300-4000 BC);

– „Ceramics” collection with exhibits from the largest ancient pottery manufacturing center near the village of Topola;

– the „Jewelry” collection in the rich necropolis near the village of Odurtsi

one of Bulgaria’s largest medieval weapons collections;

– „Renaissance Icons of Dobrogea” collection with the most examples of icons „St. Cyril and Methodius” in Bulgaria;

– the collection of „Dobrogean Questions” – the only one of its kind in the country;

– The richest reserves „Yordan Yovkov”, „Anastas Petrov”, „Peter Datchev” and others from the Bulgarian language.

These collections and the values ​​that are preserved in the museum reserves of the Regional History Museum – Dobrici are part of the national patrimony of Bulgaria.

„The Oaks” Natural Park or „Kobaklaka” Park, as known by the inhabitants of Dobrici, is located 6 km from the city on an area of ​​3,700 hectares.

The park is mainly made of oak forests.

Translated from the Turkish name, the name of the park means a planted oak forest.

Today, the park is a favorite place for the citizens of Dobrici, where they can relax, walk and rest. There are many children’s playgrounds, a sports ground and a pheasant farm. There are two restaurants in the park where banquets and weddings are often organized.

The park is located outside of Dobrici, but is easily accessible by car, going down the road to Odrintsi village.

Lots of longer walks can reach Kobaklaka and then walk down to the center of Dobrici. Walking there takes about two hours and crosses the paths through the forest.

The complex has one of the most modern facilities for horses. Their inner courtyard allows riding throughout the year. Care, feeding and horses are at a very high level of quality. The large open space (paddock) of the equestrian base allows the animals to spend their free time in conditions close to natural ones.

The „Recar” Shooting and Equestrian Base is located in the town of Dobrici and is a great place to escape from crowded life.

The resort offers excellent conditions for rest, meetings with friends, sport shooting, paintball, horseback riding, pony riding, BBQ, birthdays, holidays for children and adults, teambuilding and more.

The „Sf. Gheorghe” town park is located near the central pedestrian area of ​​Dobrici.

The park was established in 1860 and has since become a favorite place of citizens and guests for walking, relaxing, sports and recreation.

The park is one of the oldest municipal parks in the country. It is located on an area of ​​430 hectares and has several distinct areas – the old garden which is declared a cultural asset of the art park, the children’s area, the park lakes, the rocky gardens, the terraces and the sports area.

In the park you can see some of the plant species imported from Europe at the beginning of the last century.

In the past, in the „St. George” town park there is the Museum of Modern and Contemporary History. At one point, this place was a building – a social and cultural center of the city. Here, modern balloons, matins and evenings were held there. Later, well-known Italian architects turned the building into a casino.
